Do you excel in customer service and problem solving? Do you have experience in the customer service industry or the heavy-duty industry? Are you numbers-oriented with experience in invoicing? If so, this could be the position for you!
Hours:
Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM; must be available for emergency calls after hours
Main Responsibilities:
- Processes internal and external customer and books work into the shop
- Performs unit intake process upon its arrival at Maxim; confirms unit history & information received.
- Conducts interviews for complaints & determines if the warranty applies.
- Completes initial work order documentation, and upsells applicable services.
- Provides updates to customers
- Performs unit pick-up process & explains work completed to customer
- Carries a company cell phone and is on call after hours to handle emergency customer calls
- Gathers information and reviews repair orders to ensure complete, legible and accurate information.
- Closes work closes invoices for internal and external customers; informs the service manager attention if service or parts should be written off.
- Provides estimates for customer requests and standard work on P&D new vehicles and for customers purchasing a batch of vehicles.
- Other duties as assigned
What you need to succeed in this role:
- 3+ years of experience in the medium/heavy duty truck (or related) industry in order to understand repair time length and how to manage work orders
- Front line customer service experience
- Invoicing experience with knowledge of debits/credits
- Technical product knowledge is preferred
- Knowledge of International (Navistar) warranty an asset
- A team player with a strong commitment to the customer
- Ability to build long-term relationships with customers and vendors
- Possess strong listening, problem solving and decision making skills
- Excellent fact-finding and analytical skills; Organized, sets and meets priorities
- Strong aptitude for numbers, shows attention to detail
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word & Outlook
- Exposure to a central billing system; knowledge of Karmak preferred
- Flexibility to adapt to changing demands
