Parts Shipping, Returns, and Cancellations Policy

Maxim Truck & Trailer ("we" and "us") is the operator of www.maximinc.com ("Website"). By placing an order through this Website, you will be agreeing to the terms below. These are provided to ensure both parties are aware of and agree upon this arrangement to mutually protect and set expectations on our service.

1. General

We offer Expedited shipping to Canada and the United States via Canada Post and the US Postal Service unless otherwise stated. All orders are subject to stock availability. We try to maintain accurate stock counts on our website but from time-to-time there may be a stock discrepancy. If you order inventory quantities that require us to aggregate inventory from two or more branches, your shipment will take extra time because we ship all items together. 

2. Shipping Costs

Shipping costs are calculated during checkout based on your order size and location. In Canada, orders of $200 or more receive Free Shipping while orders under $50 are not subsidized and are passed along based on actual Canada Post shipping costs so they will vary. All orders to the USA are charged a flat rate of $35 US shipping.

3. Returns

3.1 Return Due to Change of Mind/No Longer Needed/Doesn’t fit/I ordered the wrong part

Maxim Truck & Trailer will accept returns due to change of mind or part is no longer needed or the customer has ordered the wrong part and it doesn’t fit for their intended application as long as a return request is received by us within 30 days of receipt of item and is returned to us in original packaging, unused and in resalable condition. Return shipping will be paid at the customer’s expense. Once returns are received and accepted, refunds will be processed. We will notify you once this has been completed through email. Maxim Truck & Trailer will refund the value of the goods returned but will NOT refund the value of any shipping paid.

How do we calculate your refund?

Maxim will issue a refund for the full price of the part purchased, less:

  1. The original outbound freight charge cost incurred by Maxim (if Maxim paid the freight on the initial order)
  2. The cost of the prepaid return label that we send to you

Note: Customer paid freight / handling charges are not refundable

What if the error was made by Maxim (e.g. wrong part delivered etc.)?

If the error was made by Maxim or our supplier / partner, we will credit the full amount of the order (part price + Tax + any freight / handling) paid by you. We will also provide the prepaid return label free of charge.

How soon can I expect my refund for my returned part?

Your refund will be issued once we receive the returned item. Once issued, a refund can take 48-72 business hours to reflect on your statement, depending on your bank. We will notify you via e-mail of your refund once processed. Your credit will be issued against the original purchase method (e.g. credit card, PayPal account, etc.) which was provided to us at the time you placed the order.

3.2 Warranty Returns

Maxim Truck & Trailer will honor any valid warranty claims, provided a claim is submitted within 30 days of receipt of items. Customers will be required to pre-pay the return shipping; however, we will reimburse you upon successful warranty claim. Upon return receipt of items for warranty claim, you can expect Maxim Truck & Trailer to process your warranty claim within 7 days. Once warranty claim is confirmed, you will receive the choice of:

  1. refund to your payment method
  2. a refund in store credit
  3. a replacement item sent to you (if stock is available)

4. Delivery Terms

4.1 Transit Time on Canadian Orders

In general, domestic shipments are in transit for 2 – 5 days

4.2 Transit time on US Orders

Generally, orders shipped internationally are in transit for 3-7 days. This varies greatly depending on the courier you have selected. We are able to offer a more specific estimate when you are choosing your courier at checkout.

4.3 Order Processing Time

Orders are usually processed within 2 business days or less from the date of payment of order. Our warehouse operates Monday - Friday during standard business hours, except on national holidays at which time the warehouse will be closed. In these instances, we take steps to ensure shipment delays will be kept to a minimum.

4.4 Items Out of Stock

If an item is out of stock, we will wait for the item to be available before processing your order. Existing items in the order will be reserved while we await this item.

5. Tracking Notifications

Upon dispatch, customers will receive a tracking link from which they will be able to follow the progress of their shipment based on the latest updates made available by the shipping provider.

6. Parcels Damaged in Transit

If you find a parcel is damaged in-transit, if possible, please reject the parcel from the courier and get in touch with our customer service. If the parcel has been delivered without you being present, please contact customer service with next steps.

7. Duties & Taxes

7.1 Sales Tax

Applicable sales tax will be applied to the price of the goods as displayed on the website.

7.2 Import Duties & Taxes

Import duties and taxes for international shipments may be liable to be paid upon arrival in the destination country. This varies by country, and we encourage you to be aware of these potential costs before placing an order with us. If you refuse to pay duties and taxes upon arrival at your destination country, the goods will be returned to Maxim at the customer’s expense, and the customer will receive a refund for the value of goods paid, minus the cost of the return shipping. The cost of the initial shipping will not be refunded. 

  • USA orders over $800 CAD are subject to duties and import charges

8. Cancellations Prior to Items Being Shipped

If you change your mind before we have shipped your order from our warehouse, we are able to accept these cancellations and provide a full refund including any shipping paid. If an order has already been processed, however, please refer to our refund policy in 3.1 above.

9. Insurance

Parcels are insured for loss and damage up to the value as stated by the courier.

9.1 Process for parcel damaged in-transit

We will process a refund or replacement as soon as the courier has completed their investigation into the claim.

9.2 Process for parcel lost in-transit

We will process a refund or replacement as soon as the courier has conducted an investigation and deemed the parcel lost.
