Now in its 16th year, Maxim Truck & Trailer’s annual charity Pancake Breakfast held on December 8, 2016 in Winnipeg raised $21,000 for the Christmas Cheer Board of Winnipeg. The event took place at Maxim’s Head Office in Winnipeg and attracted over 400 guests.
Along with the cash donation, the event also collected a full truck load of non-perishable food items for the Christmas Cheer Board and a large donation of surplus food to Siloam Mission.
“Everyone has the ability to give,” says Maxim President Doug Harvey. “Whether it’s time or money, it’s important to me that our company has a culture of giving back.” Funds raised were from Maxim employees, customers, suppliers and friends who helped make the annual event a big success.
The Christmas Cheer Board provides assistance to families receiving Provincial Assistance as well as many of the working poor.
