Knowledgeable of Winnipeg city routes?  Enjoy a fast paced work environment?  Be a Dispatcher for our Winnipeg warehouse facilities.

You will ensure effective, accurate, and cost efficient pick-up and delivery service to/from the Winnipeg Maxim facilities, customers, suppliers, and other branch locations.  You will also assist Shipper Receivers with picking parts and associated paperwork to ensure customer satisfaction and control expenses.

Hours are Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. 

Responsibilities:

• Prepare delivery and pick-up information for drivers and organizing material for pick up
• Recording freight information and send to Accounts Payable for processing (i.e. Customer name, bill of lading, invoice number, payment option)
• Retrieves pick tickets, sorts and hands to Shipper Receivers
• Picks customer parts orders and creates invoices
• Creates paperwork for parts shipped to customers i.e. waybills
• Receives product as required
• Answers internal and external inquiries regarding shipments and driver runs
• Tracks missing or delayed shipments

Qualifications:

• 1 to 2 years’ experience in a fast paced work environment
• Knowledge of Winnipeg routes
• Willingness to train on Forklift (in house training)
• Valid class 5 driver’s license required
• City dispatch experience in a retail environment requiring constant scheduling changes preferred
• Experience in a parts department dispatch function preferred
• Experience in a warehouse, picking and assembling orders preferred
• Knowledge of Heavy-duty truck and trailer parts an asset
• Team player with strong commitment to the customer
• Ability to communicate effectively with varying levels of people
• Professional phone skills
• Organized, sets priorities, meets deadlines
• Makes timely, accurate decisions
• Ability to work with interruptions
• Ability to work independently with little supervision
• Basic computer skills with ability to learn in-house systems
