The design of these trailers with the deck over the wheels allows a wider deck for wider equipment. The deck width ranges from 96-inches (8'-0") to 108-inches (8'-6"). Ramps are typically stored on the rear approach (beavertail) of the trailer, although some models store the ramps upright. Suspensions range from Dexter Torflex rubber-ride to self-adjusting spring to air ride.
The economical TC-16 is a great trailer for mid-sized equipment. It’s built on the Towmaster I-beam frame and features 3-inch I-beam crossmembers, 8’-6" wide oak wood deck, 5-foot angle-iron beavertail and 5-foot one-way spring assist ramps. Sealed wiring and grommet mounted incandescent lights are standard.
